With the seventh anniversary of September 11th 2001 approaching, Country Music artists are doing their part to make sure people never forget. Many of Countrys biggest artists have come together to make the upcoming album Never Forget, a September 11th tribute featuring mostly new and original songs from the artists. Some of the stars on the album include Tanya Tucker, George Jones, Pam Tillis, Tracy Lawrence and others. Two of the CDs other contributors, Rebecca Lynn Howard and Charlie Daniels, already debuted their songs at the launching of New York in Louisiana in early March. Rebecca sings the title track, while Charlie performs a song called USS New York.
This ship stands for everything the music included on the album represents, said Sherry Johnson, co-owner of Seasong Records, which is releasing the album.
The commemorative CD will be available on August 26th of this year in stores and on all digital download sites. Proceeds from the albums sales will go to the Hope for the Warriors Foundation, a charity that helps servicemen and women who have returned from battle with great injuries.
